I think this is because average profit is the per-period average %increase, disregarding AUM for each period. But as the total AUM has been growing, and the period with the most AUM has negative profit, total profit is negative. This is not a mistake, however it is confusing for an investor. I think the total profit metric should be removed, as what is interesting for an investor is the profit expectancy for each period, which is best given by average profit

Actually, what a UX professional would do is put a mock-up or MVP in front of users and get feedback from them, which is exactly what the team is doing, and they are doing it quite well. So I would say there is no real need for a UX designer so far. Let's see how the team builds on our feedback.
